Delete your PubMed HUB account
Use this page to delete your PubMed HUB account and the personal data stored with it, without needing the app.
How it works
- Enter the email address you use to sign in to PubMed HUB and press Send deletion link.
- We email a link to that address. It works once and expires in 60 minutes.
- Open the link and press Permanently delete my account. The account is deleted straight away.
You can also delete your account in the app: open your account from the Home screen and tap Delete my account.
What is deleted
- Your name, title, email address, phone number and password
- The Google or Apple sign-ins linked to the account
- Your saved articles (favourites) and your search history
- PDFs and other files you uploaded
What is kept
- A record that an account existed and the date it was deleted, under a random account number. It holds no name, email address or other personal information.
- Messages you sent us through Contact us, with the name and email address you gave in them. We keep them until we have dealt with them, and delete them if you ask us to. They are no longer linked to the account.
- If your account was carried over from one of our apps from before 2026, a note of which old app account it came from. Its email address is replaced, so it holds no name or email address.
- Deleted data can remain in database backups until those backups are replaced in the normal backup cycle.
